"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20
This life I am living, in the body, I am living by faith in the Son of God, Jesus Christ. When God saved me that old person died. The Holy Spirit came to live inside of me so I know I can live by faith. I need Him now more than ever. I don't know how I ever lived my life before that old person died.

Who is more powerful than God? No one, nothing is more powerful than God? God is the one in control. We might think that we are...but...no...we are not. Quite frankly, I don't want to be in control. Facing any unknown in life can be much easier if we trust in God. I trust that the same God that created me and saved me knows what He is doing and if God is for me who can be against me? "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:28-31 THE WORD OF GOD Letters make words and words make sentences. Sentences make statements. They can be profound or otherwise. The Bible is, letter for letter, word for word, scripture by scripture the most profound compilation of words ever written. The Bible is thorough and is in no way superficial...the Bible is absolute, the Bible is the Word of God. When I read the Bible and allow the Word to minister to me I am comforted by those letters which makes those words. As much as I love to sing and praise the LORD do you realize that He "exults over us with loud singing"? God exults over us...the mighty God, the only One that can save us, lovingly rejoices over us with gladness and loud singing. How is that for some words? Zephaniah 3:17 God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. JOSHUA 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” A couple of young ladies that were on the Carnival Cruise Ship were being interviewed by CBS. One young lady gave God the glory and praise...then...she began to quote Joshua 1:9...The interview ended immediately. Saints, be strong and courageous...do not be afraid or be discouraged. The world will try to silence the believer every way possible. God bless those girls for praising God for their safety and may God forgive those that try to silence His name and His Word. http://radio.foxnews.com/toddstarnes/top-stories/nbc-reporter-stops-cruise-ship-passenger-from-citing-bible-verse.html Psalm. 27:14 "Wait for the Lord; Be strong, and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord." So many times, in my life, I have seen God move and do things that only God can. Whether it was in my life or in the life of others, God's power was revealed. Waiting is not something we like to do, but as children of God there are those times when we must wait. Don't get ahead of God. Don't lead and expect God to follow. Take courage. Be strong and wait for the LORD. He is the One with all the power. He is the Omniscient God. If you lack strength and courage to wait ask Him to help you. This world is wildly spinning out of control. Man is not able to get it right. God will never spin out of control. God is always in control. So, no matter how wildly the world spins...or how out of control everything seems trust in God, trust in His Word, and take heart! “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 One definition of change in the dictionary says, to give a different position, course, or direction to. Another definition says, to undergo transformation, transition, or substitution. There are other definitions and the word change is used in sentences to explain the definition, but none of these definitions tell us there is One Person who does not change. One Person to whom the word change will never apply...Jesus Christ..."He is the same yesterday, today and forever." Hebrews 13:8 In a world where change is inevitable, isn't it wonderful to know that the Triune God will remain the same forever. In March, there will be a miniseries worth watching. In this world of continual negative bombardment there comes a positive thought provoking miniseries about Jesus, about God, and about the Holy Spirit. This program will be aired starting March 3, 2013 and will end on Easter Sunday. http://www.bibleseries.tv/
Mark Burnett and his wife Roma have produced this piece. Here is something they had to say... "We’re reading the Bible, reading about the Bible, reading people’s opinions of the Bible and editing this visual piece of work, which is the best work of our careers. The responsibility is huge. I think we’re really good at our jobs. Right now, four nights out of seven, we have No. 1 shows on television as a family. We know what we’re doing. Our responsibility is we better be at the best level of our game on this project. This is the Bible. If nothing else, for the rest of our lives, we ever make, this better be good. And I think we’ve done a great job with this." http://www.outreachmagazine.com/people/5139-tv-producer-mark-burnett-jesus-was-physically-hugging-me.html?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=omnewsletter&utm_content=OM+Newsletter+20130211 There is a great responsibility attached to this miniseries. Mark and Roma Burnett understand that fact. God will always raise someone up to do His work here on earth...to do what pleases Him. When He raises you up will you obey? "For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him." Philippians 2:13 There was a specific time in the Bible when God's creation...man and woman...began to call on the name of the LORD. People were not calling on the name of allah or buddha they were calling on the LORD's name. The Bible says, in Genesis 4:25, that after Seth had his son Enosh, people began to call on the name of the LORD. There was a beginning time when mankind called on the LORD's name...but...there will never be an endtime. If we all stopped praising God and stopped calling on the Name of the LORD the stones will cry out. Just one question. Do you think we are not a Christian nation? Luke 19:36-40 36 As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road. 37 When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: 38 “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”[a]“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”39 Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!” 40 “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” http://radio.foxnews.com/toddstarnes/top-stories/and-god-made-a-farmer.html Whether the farmer realizes it or not, when he plants his crops, he is relying on the mercy of God for his crops to grow. There must be the right amount of rain and sun at the right time, as well as many other factors, otherwise the crops will fail. When I think about what a farmer must have been like, especially in Paul Harvey's day, I see a God-fearing man. Their wives must have been God-fearing women. Their lives were totally dependent on God and I believe they knew that. Our lives are totally dependent on God and His mercy...but...do we know that? Our salvation is totally dependent on God. We don't have the power to make the sun shine and we don't have the power to make the rain fall. We certainly don't have the power to save ourselves. ROMANS1:20...For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. While the revelation of God in nature is not sufficient to save a man, when rejected, it is sufficient to condemn him. |
