When God saves us...by His grace...we can be certain that we had nothing to do with our salvation. We don't ask for God to save us, it is a gift from God. Before God saved us, His plan and His purpose for our lives was prepared in advance. It is up to us to walk in and to do that which God has prepared. Ephesians 2:8-10 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." God is the author and the finisher of our faith...Hebrews 12:2 "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." He gave us a measure of faith by which we might be saved...we had absolutely nothing to do with our salvation. We did not strive and work to be saved we accepted the gift of salvation of God. God saves us and God will not take our salvation away. God does not change His mind... Numbers 23:19 God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? Are we doing all that God has prepared for us? Only we can answer that question for ourselves. Do you listen to the deceptive voices around you...those voices on television, the internet or the voices of your friends? Eve did. The enemy spoke to Eve through a serpent. Seems odd to us because we know serpents can't speak, but the enemy can use whatever form it desires. Divorce, separations, unwed mothers...where is the family? With the rising divorce rate not only out of the church but in the church one would have to say it is right where the enemy would like the family. In the sewer. God hates divorce. Why? Look at the world. When I was a kid in second grade we were told that a little boy's parents were divorced. I didn't want what he had and I didn't want my mom and dad to have it either so I stayed away from him. Long story short...divorce was rare and it was scary to look at this little boy and see how sad he was and as little as I was I knew it wasn't good but I didn't know why. Newsflash...divorce will not change anything...well, not those things that led to the divorce. Oh sure, it will change the person you are with, when you see or don't see the kids, your $$$ because divorce isn't cheap...But if you left your spouse you will never be happy...it will happen again and again and again until you get right with God. If you do leave your spouse why would anyone want to be with you? Who will you leave this new person for and why? Soon you will run out of excuses and you will wake up one morning and look at yourself in the mirror and notice you are all alone. Even if you are with someone you will be alone...This isn't what God wanted for you. He had so much more planned for your life and you blew it...big time! Why? Because you listened to the enemy. Like I said earlier...God hates divorce...there are times when a person's life is in danger that one should not stay married. That is understandable. Adultery is another reason a person can be divorced, but just because God said you may divorce does not mean that you should. God wants marriages to be reconciled. God is a God of reconciliation. What is stopping you from doing the right thing? What caused you to stray in the beginning? The reason separation is so painful...God made two...one flesh...He does not want you to separate. Matthew 19:6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate." “As a matter of honor, one man owes it to another to manifest the truth.” ~ Thomas Aquinas There was once honor among men. Slowly but surely we have begun to dishonor one another with lies, deception, and coverups. One day the truth will be made known. Psalm 86:11 Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name. 2 Corinthians 3:12 Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech Help me to only fear You LORD and not man. That I may boldly proclaim and walk in the truth of your Word and be the witness that You saved me to be. Matthew 10:26 "Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known." I trust that by the grace of God every lie, every cover up, every impeachable act by every person will be revealed and that our country will be restored. Thank you LORD. Amanda Berry and two other women "reborn" after 10 years in captivity! Who is Amanda Berry? Amanda Berry was kidnapped 10 years ago. She and two other women Gina De Jesus and Michele Knight were held captive for years. Miraculously, by the grace of God, Amanda escaped from the home where they were being held captive and called 911. I can't say that I remember anything about these girls...If I did hear their names before, I admit that I forgot. I may have forgotten who these girls were, but God...He never forgot...He never forgets. God somehow someway gave Amanda the opportunity and the courage to escape and make that 911 call. Only a loving, living God is capable of such deliverance. Thank You LORD. Rescue me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the grasp of the unrighteous and ruthless man. Psalm 71: 4 God knows the desires of our hearts...He put them there. We simply have to surrender our will to God's Will and follow after Him. His will and our will need to become as one. If not we will never realize the fullness that God has planned for our lives. I thank God for the many blessings in my life. Blessings so numerous I could never count them. Some blessings of which I will never be aware. As I embark on this next calling, HIS next calling, I only pray that I will follow totally and completely after God, let His love be evident in my life and trust Him above all things. Thank You LORD Isaiah 26:4 Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal. If you asked Tim Tebow if he is surprised that he was drafted and not played by the Jets he might say yes, but if you asked Tebow if it really mattered I believe he would say, "No." Tebow is a Christian. He might not understand what man does, but Tebow understands that God has a greater plan for his life. Tebow stood up for Christ and wore scripture on his face during games. He gave God the glory for his achievements and was never ashamed of his relationship with Jesus Christ. Tim Tebow is not a loser...Tebow is a child of God. God saved Tebow to be a witness for Him. I believe you will hear more about this young man, in ways you never thought possible. God has a faithful servant in Tim Tebow and God will honor him. If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. John 12:26 Tim Tebow @TimTebow 29 Apr Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding...
