Has God ever touched you and healed your body or asked you to lay hands on someone who was hurting and in need of healing and He healed that person...yes? Then you will understand what I am going to say...if no, perhaps you will not understand.
I will not be the one to limit God. I will not limit what He can do to me, with me and through me...do you limit God? Will you limit God?
I went to Target. I was minding my own business looking at the racks of clothing when a woman began talking to me telling me of all the pain she had undergone in the last year. How her doctor had just diagnosed her with contact dermatitis and how clothing was unbearable to wear because the clothing hurt her body to just lie on her skin. She was looking for white cotton clothing. I began to help her and I became a part of a true miracle of God. We looked and talked. She also showed me parts of her body as she spoke. She wasn't able to work any longer. She couldn't sit or lie down and she couldn't wear clothing because of the pain. She said she spent her days in her home naked and with the blinds drawn. She was so relieved the doctor had finally diagnosed her condition, but after a year of not working she was destitute. Her children did not come around. They were afraid of her condition. They didn't want to be around her, they were scared.
We talked about the Bible and she would repeat scripture. She knew God and she had a relationship with Jesus Christ. She also went to church. I asked her does your church believe in the laying on of hands and that God can still heal today? She said, "Yes!" I was glad to hear that and I told her when she went to church to have them lay hands and pray for her healing. I told the woman I would pray for her and behind me I hear someone say, "I don't have a problem with my body, but I have a problem with my mind, can you pray for me too?" Little did I know someone had been listening to our conversation. I got the first ladies phone number and only the second ladies name.
Our conversation ended and I walked away pushing my cart thinking the whole time if I could kick myself in the behind I would. Why didn't I just lay hands on her, why not me...what was I thinking? I was so angry with myself and I felt so convicted.
My husband, Dave, had dropped me off at Target and our youngest son was with us that day, something that was very unusual for him, but he was supposed to be there...and you will soon see why. I walked over to the men's department and met up with my husband and my son. The next thing I know this same lady walks over begins to talk with us...asks what church we go to where they lay on hands. I said that the church didn't matter that it is God that heals. With that she stepped in the middle of us and said, "Pray for me right here...right now!!!" We laid hands on her and Dave said, "Angie." I began to pray. She walked away. We continued to shop. Hahaha...we thought we went to Target to shop.
I ran into the second lady several times over the next year. She said she was getting better but still not 100%.
The first lady...I called her a couple of months later. When she answered the phone she started screaming. I thought, "WHAT IS WRONG?" Nothing was wrong everything was right. She was so excited...she was overjoyed...she was healed. She said two days after we met and we laid hands on her and we prayed the scabs just fell off...God had healed her. Her faith made her well. She had no more pain she was totally healed. She went from not working at all to working double shifts, 16 hour days, because her boss knew she needed the money. Do you understand how good God is and do you understand how God puts us in the places where He wants us for His purposes.
I learned a great lesson that day and I thank God that He allowed me to be a part of such a great miracle.
Do you see know why I will not limit God? This is one example of God's miracle working power in my life. I want more. I want God to use me in whatever way He can. How about you? Be all that God saved you to be...
Matthew 9:20-22
And behold, a woman who had suffered from a discharge of blood for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His garment, for she said to herself, "If I only touch His garment, I will be made well." Jesus turned and seeing her He said, "Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well." And instantly the woman was made well.
I will not be the one to limit God. I will not limit what He can do to me, with me and through me...do you limit God? Will you limit God?
