"It's definitely a miracle that I survived"....Words spoken by an Australian tourist who went bungee jumping in Africa. She suffered extensive bruising and a broken collarbone after the cord snapped during her 365-foot New Year's Eve plunge from a bridge above the Zambesi River. The article never elaborated on "how" this miracle may have happened.
So, how did she survive? Why did she survive? Did she survive because she was young and strong and was able to free her legs from the cord which bound her ankles? Did she survive because she could hold her breath for an extended period of time as she was being pulled downstream in the rapids? There was no one else there helping her. No one jumped into the water to untie the cord or help her swim to shore. A miracle in what, about what? When this young girl said this, what did she mean? Because the article did not say, "It is definitely a miracle that God saved me and I survived"...I will say it...
God is the miracle worker. God gets all of the glory for this young Australian girl surviving this ordeal. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God the God of grace and mercy, love and protection, the One True God of all...His grace, His strength made all the more evident in our times of weakness. Thank You God for saving this girl.
Jeremiah 32:17 "Ah Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You,"
