Tim Tebow has been in the news a lot lately and on my mind...so has discouragement. Today as I was reading some scripture I came upon Joshua 1:8-9. Not only does it speak of discouragement but I read that Tebow had this scripture painted on his face. I don't know why Tebow chose this scripture, but I know why I did. Discouragement...people can discourage us no matter who they are or where they are...if...we allow them to. I believe the Word of God and He tells me that He will be with me wherever I go and to not be discouraged. So I rejoice in what is and not concern myself with the past...and trust in the LORD for tomorrow for He is with me wherever I go.
"Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:8-9
